Skinner West Classical, Fine Arts, and Technology School is a Chicago Public School located in the city’s West Loop/Near West Side neighborhood. Skinner West serves a diverse urban community with a neighborhood elementary program, an academically advanced classical program, and a special education program for children who have autism. Twenty-eight percent of our students are low income, and eighty-five percent are minorities. Skinner West’s vision is to become the premier school in metropolitan Chicago for educating classical, neighborhood, and special needs students, and to serve as a model for all similar schools. Our school currently serves 700 children in grades preschool through 8.
