Students from the district’s Northern Region and Western Region schools submitted 244 designs to the mission patch competition. From the patches submitted, two were selected to fly to the International Space Station with Johnson Street Global Studies’ experiment. After the spaceflight, the patches will receive a seal certifying that they flew into outer space and will be framed for display at their respective schools.
