The GCS SSEP team is looking for volunteer scientists, science educators and community members to serve on the local review board for this program. Teams of students are presently designing experiment proposals. We need volunteers to join our local review board to judge the proposals and choose the best three to send to the National Center for Earth and Space Science Education.
The process is expected to take place electronically. Each panel member will review three proposals and enter scores for each into a spreadsheet. Each proposal will be reviewed by three separate judges and will then be assigned a final score reflecting that proposal’s average score. A scoring rubric will be supplied.
Of the three finalists, the national review board will choose one experiment to fill our slot on the International Space Station.
If you would like to serve on our local review board or participate in this exciting program in another way, please contact Shirley Stipe-Zendle at email@example.com.
