3/25/11, 4:00 PM ET:
WE WERE JUST ALERTED BY NASA AT KSC THAT THEY NOW STRONGLY ADVISE US TO GET TO KARS PARK NO LATER THAN 3:00 PM ON APRIL 19 FOR THE LAUNCH. NASA IS VERY CONCERNED THAT WE MIGHT BE STUCK IN HEAVY TRAFFIC EVEN 3 HOURS BEFORE LAUNCH.
WE ARE THEREFORE CHANGING KARS PARK ARRIVAL TO 3:00 PM. THIS MEANS THE CAR CARAVAN WILL LIKELY START MOVING FROM THE RENDEZVOUS POINT NO LATER THAN
2:30 PM. ALL CARS MUST THEREFORE PLAN TO BE AT THE RENDEZVOUS POINT BY LIKELY 1:45 PM.
IF YOU MISS THE CAR CARAVAN YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET TO KARS PARK AT KSC. WE MUST ALL CONTINUE TO BE FLEXIBLE ON APRIL 19 IN LIGHT OF NEW INFORMATION.
See the Launch Plans for STS-134 page for this newly added information.
